The brief

Continuous aggregate capacity for a multinational building materials operator

Cemex is one of the largest international suppliers of building materials, operating cement plants, quarries, ready-mix concrete plants and aggregate distribution depots throughout the United Kingdom. The regional operations require continuous and reliable transport capacity to maintain supply of primary aggregates from production sites to a network of construction and infrastructure customers.

The brief required a haulage partner with consistent capacity, vehicle specifications appropriate to both quarry-to-plant and plant-to-site movements, and operational discipline aligned with the safety standards in place at Cemex production facilities.

The solution

Dedicated articulated tipper capacity, integrated with Cemex transport planning

Loaden Haulage operates 44-tonne articulated tipper trailers on contracted Cemex movements, with vehicle and trailer specifications matched to the requirements of each origin site. Drivers are inducted to Cemex site-safety protocols, hold appropriate certification for quarry and plant access, and operate in accordance with FORS-aligned safety procedures throughout each shift.

All loads are weighed, ticketed and reported against Cemex documentation requirements, with GPS tracking providing live ETA reporting through to nominated destinations. Operational scheduling is coordinated with the client's transport planning function to maintain rolling capacity throughout the working week.

The outcome

Predictable regional distribution capacity

The arrangement provides Cemex with predictable haulage capacity across its regional operations and enables Loaden Haulage to deliver a sustained, high-volume distribution service within the requirements of a major international supplier.

The relationship continues on a contracted basis and represents one of the company's largest aggregate distribution accounts, with the operating discipline established during onboarding maintained throughout the duration of the engagement.
