Curtainsider haulage for palletised

Loaden Haulage operates 13.6-metre curtainside trailers behind fully-compliant tractor units, transporting palletised freight, building products, manufacturing components, FMCG goods and oversized loads that cannot be accommodated through standard rear-loading box trailers. The curtainside configuration provides rapid loading access, secure load restraint and weather protection in transit.

Rapid loading access and secure restraint
The retractable curtains on a curtainsider trailer provide full-length side access, enabling forklift loading of 26 standard pallets in substantially less time than a rear-access box trailer. Internal load straps, corner posts and EN 12642 XL certified bodywork ensure load security in both trunking and multi-drop operations.
For manufacturers, distribution centres and third-party logistics providers operating under defined loading windows, the resulting turnaround efficiency represents the difference between meeting and missing subsequent delivery slots.

Loaden Haulage transports the full range of palletised freight, in addition to many loads that exceed standard pallet specifications. Typical materials include building products and plasterboard, packaged food and beverages, machinery and engineering components, plastic mouldings, drums and intermediate bulk containers, kitchen and joinery units, and seasonal retail and wholesale stock.
For loads with non-standard dimensions — extended lengths, top-loading requirements, fragile cladding — the curtainsider configuration frequently offers superior loading access and damage protection compared with box trailer alternatives.

Same-day, next-day and contract distribution
The curtainsider service supports urgent same-day collections across Bedfordshire and surrounding counties, scheduled trunking operations between regional sites, and ongoing contract distribution. Service design accommodates client-specific goods-in and goods-out windows, drop sequencing, personal protective equipment requirements and site safety protocols.
All vehicles are GPS-tracked, all drivers hold current DCPC certification, and every job is reported in the format required to support client and audit documentation.
Loaden's curtainsider work supports both our DC-to-DC trunking and store deliveries. They turn up on the slot, the trailer is presentable, and the multi-drop sequencing is planned so we hit our store windows. Consistent across peak periods too.
